Orion is a filmmaker from the San Francisco Bay Area based in Los Angeles. He has written, directed, and edited numerous short films that have played at film festivals nationwide. In 2021, he completed his short, THE YELLOW PANTHER: THE LIFE OF RICHARD AOKI, and also directed, LIFE, AGAIN, which was in the BAFTA Student Award shortlist, an official selection of the Newport Beach Film Festival, honorable mention at the Ojai Film Festival, and won Best Short Documentary at the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival. He has had production experience with A24, Netflix, AppleTV, NBCUniversal, and Food Network.

By day, he is an Editor at Saylor creating marketing videos for Netflix, Disney, Hulu, Max, Paramount, Amazon, and many movie/tv campaigns, and independent film director by night. Currently, he is working on a documentary about his parents’ old journey through divorce. He attended Chapman University where he received a BFA in Broadcast Journalism & Documentary with an emphasis in Documentary Filmmaking. While there he gained a wide range of experience in all departments on student film sets. He has worked as Writer/Director, Editor, Cinematographer, DIT, Sound Mixer, Boom Op, and Colorist on many student films.
